Reader's question: Can I weigh myself at lunchtime instead of in the morning?

From Paul

Thanks Paul for this star question, which really got me thinking.

You didn't actually state why this would be of interest to you but that doesn't matter. It's a great question which has allowed me to improve The Weight Loss Diet.

Yes, I see no reason why this would not work. But first, let me explain something I should perhaps have clarified earlier on.

For my "Daily Target Weight", when does "today" begin?

I had previously said "when you wake up" is when you have to weigh yourself and start fasting, if you have not met your Daily Target Weight. An implication of this is that you can eat unrestrictedly until you go to bed.

Assuming you always go to bed before 2am and never get up before 5am, we can imagine a specific time such as 3 am when your new Diet Day begins. You are always asleep at this time, so there is no confusion.

But for some people, their sleep pattern may be wildly different across various days. On some days they may not sleep at all!

For other people, the thought of skipping breakfast may be too much to bear.

So what's the solution?

If you wish, you can pick your own fixed time of day to be your Diet Day Start Time. For example, Paul could choose midday. This would mean every day Paul could eat as he wished until midday, at which point he must fast until he has verified he is not above his Daily Target Weight.

We can see The Weight Loss Diet adjusts seamlessly to cater for Paul's requirement.

Thanks again Paul! We know this will bring you great success!
